The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is our omnipresent, omnipotent helper, comforter, and guide to all who believe in Jesus.

We believe our sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. We believe that to receive forgiveness from God and new birth, we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives. Salvation is my grace through faith alone, not earned by good works or any human effort. Whosoever calls upon Jesus will be saved.

As a sacramental ordinance of the church, we believe that water baptism is not only a proclamation of faith but is a prophetic and powerful sacred moment in the spiritual journey of a Believer in Christ.

The baptism in the Holy Spirit, as promised by Jesus to all believers, is a gift received after the new birth (salvation). The baptism in the Holy Spirit enables Christ followers to fully utilize public and private spiritual gifts for the furtherance of the Church and for personal spiritual growth. We believe that one of the evidences that can accompany the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. We believe this supernatural gift is still in operation and available to believers today.

The Gifts of the Spirit

We believe that the gifts of the Spirit are still active and available for the Church today. This includes motivational gifts such as mercy, helps, teaching, serving and administration. We also believe and practice in the spiritual gifts found in 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 which are words of wisdom and knowledge, faith, healings, miracles, prophecy, distinguishing spirits, tongues, and interpretation of tongues.
